What do you do on a day-to-day basis at your job? I program, set-up, operate Mazak CNC Turning Centers and mentor/train employees within the department.
How did you arrive at your current position? What was your professional or career path? Joined Carlson as a high school senior and most of my training was on the job. Attended a tech school that Carlson paid for, and the skills from that program, transferred into operations here.
What is the best part about your job? Best part of the machining field and at Carlson is the variety of work. The flexibility at this company is also a huge highlight.

What do you do on a day-to-day basis at your job? I could be machining one day then next, could be tearing apart an old tool or fitting parts on a new tool. I like the diversity and gaining new skills.
How did you arrive at your current position? What was your professional or career path? I started out as a toolroom assistant. Carlson offered me an apprenticeship and I took it. I will finish my apprenticeship this year and am very excited for my future.
What is the best part about your job? Best part of my job is the satisfaction I get from working with my hands, problem solving, and seeing the finished product.
